The presidential inauguration is a time-honored tradition that celebrates our University’s storied legacy of excellence, leadership, truth and service, and serves as a reminder of the possibilities the future holds. The Inauguration Convocation for the 18th president, Ben Vinson III, will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. 

The Howard community is invited to join in celebrating President Ben Vinson III, Ph.D. as we unite to realize Howard at Maximum Strength.

The Inauguration Convocation

The ceremony for the Inauguration Convocation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023 in Cramton Auditorium on the campus of Howard University. Admission to Cramton Auditorium is limited to invitation holders.

University-Wide Inauguration Convocation Watch Party 

The Howard University community (students, faculty, staff, alumni and retirees) are invited to attend. The event will be held on Saturday, November 4, 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Armour J. Blackburn University Center, Ballroom. Light hors d’oeuvres will be available. Attendees are encouraged to wear Howard’s colors in the spirit of this special occasion!
